Our commitment
Heat Pump Toronto is committed to giving people with disabilities the same opportunity to use our service, in a way that respects their dignity and independence. We meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards that apply to us, and we design the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA.
What we’ve built in
- Every page works with a keyboard and with screen readers
- Large, high-contrast text, and screens that work zoomed in and on small phones
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for less motion
- Colour is never the only way information is shown
- The site is available in English, French, Simplified Chinese and Korean
Accessible formats and communication support
If you need information from our service in another format — large print, plain text, help by e-mail, or a phone call from us — ask us. We’ll provide it in a timely way and at no extra cost, working with you to find a suitable format. Some documents, like quote PDFs, come from installers; we’ll help you get them in a format you can use.
Customer service
You’re welcome to use your own assistive devices with our service, and to bring a support person or service animal to any meeting with us. If any part of the service is temporarily unavailable, we’ll post a notice here.
Tell us about a barrier
Your feedback helps us improve. Tell us about any barrier you meet, by e-mail at info@heatpumptoronto.com, or in any other way that works for you. We’ll reply within 5 business days and tell you what we will do about it. This page and our accessibility policy are available in an accessible format on request.
